Mr. Khaman
If you're ever around 1753 Albion Rd in Etobicoke and craving something truly comforting, Mr. Khaman is a must-visit gem. This takeout spot may seem unassuming from the outside, but once you taste what they’re serving, you’ll understand why locals keep coming back.
Mr. Khaman specializes in quick, flavorful bites that cater to both vegan and vegetarian food lovers. Whether you're in the mood for something light or filling, their menu has you covered with a variety of small plates and savory snacks that hit the spot. The name might give it away-yes, their signature khaman dhokla is soft, spongy, and bursting with traditional flavor. But don’t stop there. You’ll find a range of late-night treats perfect for when those after-hours cravings kick in.
What’s great is how easy it is to grab your order and go. They offer both takeaway and kerbside pickup, making it super convenient for anyone looking to avoid the wait or simply dine at home. Whether you're a long-time fan of Indian snacks or just looking to try something new, Mr. Khaman brings bold taste and traditional goodness straight to your hands-no fuss, no frills, just honest food done right.
Mr. Khaman Reviews
I recently visited Mr Khaman and I ordered cheese garlic locho, regular locho, chai and vada pav. Everything tasted good but vada pav wasn’t worth the money. Overall, I had a good experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh, tasty meal in a cozy setting. I’ll definitely be back!
Mr. Khaman : A true gem for authentic Surti flavors! From the soft and fresh Khaman Dhokla to the flavourful Surti Locho, every bite is a burst of nostalgia for anyone who loves Gujarati cuisine. The service is warm, the atmosphere is inviting, and the dishes are crafted with care. The crowd speaks volumes about their popularity! Highly recommend visiting to experience genuine Surti delicacies—it’s worth every bite. Don’t miss their aloopuri or khawsa! “Great food, great service, and a must-visit for food lovers in Toronto!”
The food here is amazing!! This is a small restaurant that serves delicious Gujarati street food. Many items have a unique & delicious twist on the standard street food that is served elsewhere. The restaurant has about 6 tables for dining-in. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The food is prepared after you order, and is served very quickly nevertheless. The Aloo Puri is a wonderful twist (and improvement) on the usual Sev Puri. This dish is made using WARM, flat puris that are topped with some Ragda in additional to the usual toppings. I loved it!! The Butter Vada-Pav is also amazing! It is unique by the addition of fresh bhajia-boondi added on top of the Vada, which gives it a crispier texture. Also, the Pav is very soft and spread with a butter & chutney spread. It is now my Favourite Vada-Pav ever! The Sev Khamni is soo perfect! It’s one of my favourites here. The Rasavala Khaman is a very unique dish: it’s Khamni, and Chaat-style chopped onions, tomatoes, etc. served within a Daal (which is a mixture of a few Daals), and topped with Sev and Coriander. It is very tasty & satisfying. I highly recommend trying the unique dishes here. You won’t be disappointed!
Authentic Surati cuisine. I really liked Aloopuri and Khaman. The seating arrangement and hygiene could have been better. But awesome regardless.
It was awesome! The food was amazing! Authentic surti khaman, locho, idla. Must go for best breakfast. The staff is also good and ambience is also decent. The prices are also comparable and affordable.

I recently had breakfast with my family at Mr. Khaman and it was an amazing experience! We tried their locho, khaman, bhajiya, kumbhanya, and sev khamni. Mr.khaman This little farsan store is a hidden gem! As soon as you walk in, you’re hit with the irresistible aroma of fresh snacks being made — from golden dhokla to spicy vadapav and dabeli and perfectly crisp challis. everything looks fresh and inviting. The staff is friendly and always ready to suggest their best-sellers. It’s the kind of place that takes you straight back to your childhood or that one trip to Gujarat.
